| "Bridging Organic Synthesis and Nanoscience" Prof. Ramesh Jasti Boston University Carbon-based nanomaterials such as carbon nanotubes, graphene, and diamondoids have emerged as some of the most promising materials for the technologies of the future. One of the major limitations to furthering our understanding and application of these fascinating materials is the lack of atomic-level structural control in the syntheses of these materials. Current synthetic methods produce mixtures of structures with varying physical properties. In this presentation, I will describe my research group’s bottom-up organic chemistry approach to building these materials with complete control over structure. |
