| "Evanescent-Wave Illuminated Spectral Self-Interference Fluorescence Microscopy" Mr. Brynmor Davis Boston University An evanescently-illuminated spectral self interference system consists of a fluorescently-labelled biological specimen placed on a waveguide. The fluorophores are excited by the evanescent waves from the guided light and the resulting emission traverses a direct and reflected path to a spectral detector. This system is modeled and the inverse problem investigated. The results describe the resolution
that can be expected from an evanescently-illuminated spectral self interference system. |
